"Modern Children Exhibit No Fear of Godzilla"
10"x 17" paper collage

The Chinese lettering are from war propaganda posters. Godzilla is munching on jelly sandwiches. The monster has a purple bowlcut and one eye plucked from Bambi (the left, brown one).

The opening at Mama Buzz Gallery was awesome! The evening was warm and the streets were packed with people. Met many cool folks, saw many friends, and had a vegan donut with my PBR. Burp! Thanx everyone for coming out and supporting my little contribution to the visual world! XOXO

Jessica Hess is a Brooklyn based artist. She paints typical urban scenes from graffitied walls and trucks to abandoned buildings and trains. I can not gush enough about this amazing arteest! She has a show up currently at the White Walls Gallery in SF through March 27th. Dont miss this one!

Ms. Hess' show at White Walls is in conjunction with Kevin Cyr and is called Temporal Surfaces. A sublime foray into the beauty of urban decay. Above are three photos of graffiti covered vans (a very common NYC site) with corresponding van models below with the exact graffiti replicated onto them. Very F'ing cool!!

Climate Gallery Opening 2-6-2010. Putting It All Together: Collage, Montage, and Assemblage. While I was not able to be in New York, I heard the opening was packed and stayed that way all nite. World famous collage artist, Jonathan Talbot was on hand acting as Juror of Awards. He will be selecting ten Featured Artists. His work has been shown at the Modern Museum of Art in New York and at the National Academy. His works are also in collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. http://www.talbot1.com/
