Old car, Oakland Old bookstore downtown Oakland Old mural, Lake Merritt Oakland. Great image, I am guessing from the 1970's. Interracial friendships and go-karting! Hoping to catch some of his street art in NYC when I visit next month. Look into his world here... http://papermonster.net/artist.php?artist=1 This here is Pablo, a buddy from San Francisco. He was so happy to receive a racy Boy Scout collage of mine in the mail. Here are some new pieces fresh off my drafting table. They are for this June's show at Glama-rama! Gallery. The details for the exhibition are forming... Mona Superhero, duct tape artist extraordinare from Portland, Oregon, will be on the walls as well. "Oui Oui" 10"x7" Paper Collage "Can You Blame Him?" 10"x 7" Paper Collage This piece depicts a Panda with a boozing problem. I am in talks with some very high level producers who wish to make this into an AFTER SCHOOL SPECIAL!!! Untitled. 15"x 19" Paper Collage Working on a series of paper collages for a show at Glama-rama! Gallery in San Francisco this spring with my bud Mona Superhero. We are seeking collective inspiration through our Mamas and Papas records. Mona is a duct tape artist-and just get the notion of duct tape wallets out of your head. Mona's pieces are portraits of fantastical landscapes rendered from many colors of tape. Think Captain Kirk wearing shoe skates while listening to the Tom Tom Club out of a 1980's ghetto blaster. More of Ms Mona here... http://monasuperhero.com/ Here are some of her duct tape pictures...see and wonder... And here she is being interviewed by the world art press... and here, "being expresssive after being pensive" in a Portland dive bar. Some pieces I have been working on. |
